Research & Development: Educational Entertainment

The New Media Foundation’s focus is on Edutainment—entertainment designed
to educate as well as to amuse viewers. Our programs instruct or socialize its viewers by embedding lessons in some familiar form of entertainment. We hope to either tutor in one or more specific subjects, or to inspire new behavior by engendering specific socio-cultural attitudes. Using media in this from, learning becomes fun and teaches or educates viewers in a manner, which is both engaging and amusing.
